Job Title: Echo Technician - ContractLocation: New York City, NY 10003Duration: 8 WeeksShift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMHours Per Week: 37.5Job Summary: The Echocardiographer will be responsible for acquiring and interpreting echocardiograms, including m-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms. The role involves completing worksheets, performing necessary calculations, and providing care primarily to adult and geriatric patients. This position requires maintaining a high level of professional ethics and technical proficiency in the operation of ultrasound equipment.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic echocardiograms, including stress and contrast procedures, with accuracy and efficiency.Chart exam results in the patient's medical record and complete necessary calculations.Assist Cardiologists during procedures and provide care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring all patient needs are met.Maintain, clean, and ensure ultrasound equipment is operational.Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and conferences to stay current in the field and enhance skills.Assist with training students and fellows, including on-the-job evaluation when needed.Ensure exam rooms are well-stocked and organized.Skills Required:At least 2 years of experience as an Echocardiographer preferred.Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment for performing echocardiograms.Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds, assist patients, and perform other physical tasks during the shift.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to perform assessments and care for adult and geriatric patients.Excellent professional ethics and conduct.Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Bachelor of Science preferred.Certifications & Licenses:BLS certification.Echocardiography Certification.RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RDCS certification required.
