Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Echocardiograph Technologist (Echo Tech) to join our cardiology department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing echocardiographic procedures, committed to patient care, and capable of producing high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac tests as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients for echocardiographic procedures, ensuring comfort and optimal imaging results.
- Operate echocardiography equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images.
- Analyze echocardiographic data and provide preliminary findings to cardiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control and patient privacy guidelines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification required.
- Valid state licensure as an Echocardiograph Technologist in Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Echo Tech preferred.
- Strong knowledge of echocardiographic procedures and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
