Job Description:
*$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehires and external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions of payment.
*This department has a full-time, part-time, and on-call openings and is hiring for all three. Flexibility to match your scheduling needs.
*The Echocardiograph Technologist performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. *Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.
*Has the ability to modify procedures, to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.
*Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.
Required qualifications:
* Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
* Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
* Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred qualifications:
* Associate's degree in applied science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
* 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
* Pediatric echocardiography experience.
* Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
* Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center)
