Come join Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Charlotte as a stream and wetland ecologist in the Ecological Services Practice. We have a great, high energy, multidisciplined office that is conveniently located in southwest Charlotte. In addition, we offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of 2 days work-from-home or 1 day off every other week. As an ecologist, you'll have the opportunity to participate in tasks ranging from field data collection, stream and wetland assessments, and report writing/permit application preparation to stream restoration and a variety of public and private sector projects. This position affords a mix of field and office work, supplemented with training in the critical areas of technical expertise, data interpretation, financial management, and client development. You'll be part of a team led by senior personnel who will mentor you through all stages of projects - from proposal to final deliverable. Potential candidates can range from a few years of experience to a seasoned project manager. At CEC, ecologists career path and potential are unlimited as we are on the same career path as the engineers and other scientists. We have several ecologists in senior leadership positions throughout the company!
