**What you'll do:**
As a Warehouse Manager, you'll contribute to the success of a warehouse or manufacturing location for PepsiCo by coordinating the receiving, shipping, and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse. You'll design and develop product movement and storage systems, improve operations, and support the front line staff. Responsibilities include safety, service (SLA and KPIs), cost efficiency, and continuous improvement on processes for an entire business unit across all shifts. This site will be managed by a 3PL contracted operator. You will be the PepsiCo site leader and responsible for collaborating and working with the 3PL leadership.
**Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:**
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and aligning with legal regulations
Maintain quality and food safety standards of finished product
Ensures smooth delivery of product for the Sales and customer organizations
Achieves operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and
recommendations to strategic plans
Reviews and prepares any action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget,
scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
Develops and motivates team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals
Delivers effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing
people impact
Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational
issues
Partner with 3PL to develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage
requirements
Partner with 3PL to develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes (check in/out), and shipping
Partner with 3PL to develop and implements warehouse operations system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects as assigned and by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout
Partner with 3PL to develop dock schedules and transportation priorities
Troubleshoots all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the
issue, and prevent reoccurrence
You'll have a regular presence on the warehouse floor and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
This role may operate MHE and manufacturing equipment occasionally
You may work off-shift and weekends and you may also be required to travel (less than
5%)
****Qualifications/Requirements****
**What you'll bring:**
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
Your continuous improvement experience (e.g. Lean Six Sigma certification, TPM, lean manufacturing, etc), as demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project
Five years of operations/logistics or supply chain experience preferred with two or more years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP and WMS)
Your ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making
Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
