Overview:
The eCommerce Listing Operations and Content Specialist is responsible for Onboarding Listings and building digital content for product (apparel and accessories) listings that increase discoverability and convert to sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent proficiency in leveraging multiple tools/resources to build content, manage the listing onboarding process and listing lifecycle across multiple platforms and have a strong understanding of marketplaces such as Amazon (FBA, Merch on Demand), Walmart, Target, among others. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently research, build and enter product and license information to the retailer and online platforms to drive sales.
Responsibilities:
- Develop keyword strategies to build and create product information to increase discoverability and drive sales conversion.
- Set up, manage (add, update, remove) and optimize the full catalog of product launched via online marketplaces including Amazon (FBA, Merch on Demand), Walmart, Target, etc., ensuring adherence to platform guidelines and best practices.
- Research and gather product data from multiple sources to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness in listing onboarding, and own end-to-end lifecycle of listing operations, management, and optimization across all Marketplaces (FBA, Merch on Demand)
- Collaborate with functional and cross-functional teams such as design, approvals, licensing to ensure seamless integration of product data and listings.
- Manage the onboarding communication with eCommerce team on new license acquisition, license rights, designs/assets available.
- Own new license/ design review process for the eCommerce team, work with eCommerce team to research and review designs, manage the requisition process internally to meet eComm team design and listing needs, and execute onboarding new listings in a timely way.
- Monitor and update product listings regularly to ensure consistency and license compliance. Optimize listings to reflect changes in keyword data trends and promotional activities.
- Identify listing issues/ challenges and own listing resolution and case management process for the Marketplace team.
- Utilize analytical tools and reports to track performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement in listing optimization.
- Provide guidance and instructions to offshore virtual assistants, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
- Stay updated on marketplace trends, policies, and algorithms to adapt strategies accordingly and maximize visibility and sales.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-3 years experience in ecommerce, digital or marketplace merchandising and/or product catalog management; strong experience with Amazon, Walmart, Target listing requirements and operations.
- Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce, websites, Amazon Seller Central and / how products are loaded.
- Balanced analytical/conceptual skills; demonstrated ability to use analytics and benchmarks to understand and optimize for organic search, product content, and merchandising.
Education & Skills
- Bachelors degree in marketing, eCommerce, or related field preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and data manipulation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to maintain data integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Experience managing offshore virtual assistants is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
