We proudly offer outpatient health services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Gouverneur, Massena, Norfolk, and Potsdam, NY.STATUS: Per DiemLOCATION: Canton-Potsdam HospitalDEPARTMENT: EDSCHEDULE: 12-hour shifts, Variable. Flexible hours. Requires weekend commitment 2 weekends of every 4-week posted scheduleATTRIBUTESHigh School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferredEKG certification preferred (can be trained on the job)Medical terminology preferredBLS requiredSafe Patient Handling training (can be obtained on the job required within one month of hire)EKG experience preferredTrained in vital signs and mobilizing patientsPhlebotomy experience preferredRESPONSIBILITIESProvide direct patient care and indirect activities to facilitate smooth running EDProvide safe and competent care of patients, to include ambulation, transferring or lifting of patientsTake patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and pain levelDocument vital signs and EKG information in the EMRAssist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients within the HospitalOrder/rotate stock in ED ensuring products are not overstocked or expired; restock ER roomsProvide CPR during emergency code situationsPerform EKG's on ED patients as ordered by PractitionerPerform blood collection procedures by venipuncturePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.PAY RANGE: $20.58 - $29.38The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
