Overview:

The EDI Developer will support all areas of IT by understanding the diverse business need and product offerings, as well as the technology systems that support AITs business. This position will focus on understanding our standards, systems, and approach inside and out to work as efficiently as possible with the team. Responsible for creating and enhancing EDI solutions to support business objectives and priorities. Will be responsible for working with data tools to create data solutions of various types, along with an understanding of data transformation. Work well and adapt to changing technology - then immediately apply that knowledge to projects, tasks and assignments. Must be resourceful to overcome challenges and address customer issues quickly. Works well within the team and also independently to get things done. Interfaces with internal and external technical staff to define application solutions and resolve problems as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing EDI solutions for internal and external customers
  • Integrate with customers and vendors using XML, X12 and other formats
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with EDI Data and Mapping
  • Work with data transformation tools
  • Document business/technical processes
  • Assist in with various maintenance tasks
  • Help with various Business Intelligence tasks
  • Work with SQL Server/SSIS
  • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science with moderate software development skills or comparable experience
  • Familiarity of SDLC
  • Good programming skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team oriented and self-motivated
  • The ability to communicate ideas effectively, to listen and to collaborate to arrive at great solutions
  • An ability to translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions
  • Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution, good time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects, and be able to handle multiple tasks as required
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and business functions
  • Ability to grasp complex systems and problems
  • Strong understanding of EDI common standards (X12, XML)
  • Previous data mapping experience
  • Strong ability to write SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Web Development Technologies including API, SOAP and Web Services
  • Knowledge of .NET languages
  • Strong understanding of automation, streamlining of processes

Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
