The eData team at Arnold & Porter has an opening for an eDiscovery Project Manager in the New York office. The eDiscovery Project Manager assists case teams in managing litigation documents throughout the automation process, and advises, assists and trains case teams in the use of litigation software systems and acts as primary liaison and consultant to assigned case teams for the eData department.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing all aspects of Relativity workspaces including creation of the workspace; processing data, running searches and producing documents.Tracking eDiscovery (litigation support) projects outsourced to litigation support vendors including collection, scanning and externally hosted databases.Ensuring that all assigned projects are on schedule and coordinating between case teams, Senior Discovery Operations Manager and vendors.Managing eDiscovery projects throughout the EDRM lifecycle including working with case teams, clients and vendors for the preservation, identification and collection of client data through the presentation stage.Creating Relativity workspaces; processing data in Relativity workspaces; running searches at case team request in Relativity workspaces; producing documents from Relativity workspaces.Consulting with legal teams and clients on issues relating to selection of third party hosting vendors and evaluating proprietary review platforms, proper document production formats, management of vendor bidding and selection process, understanding the changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and best practices for preservation, collection, document review and production workflow.Marketing litigation support (eDiscovery) services to legal teams.Managing vendor relations and working with vendors to correct problems and ensure that a quality deliverable is provided on schedule.Tracking and managing workflow for all assigned projects outsourced to outside litigation support (eDiscovery) vendors.Documenting and communicating project requirements and deadlines to vendors.Delivering training on firm standard litigation support (eDiscovery) applications (Relativity, Opus 2, and OnCue) to users throughout the firm.Managing requests for new databases and assisting team members in selecting and designing appropriate data structures; managing production of data and modification of database structures; coordinating with Technical Operations as necessary.Coordinating database and workflow design.Assisting case teams with processing of data and production of documents.Advising team members on technical issues relating to the automation project.#LI-HYBRIDApproaching new needs or problems creatively and working with team members to provide effective support.Providing quality customer service to all of the firm's staff and clients including direct end-user support.Qualifications:Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.Minimum three years of experience working as a Project Manager in an active litigation environment preferred.Knowledge of and familiarity with Relativity and one or more relational or transcript database applications.Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.Ability to take initiative when needed and demonstrate strategic focus.Must be creative, flexible, adaptable to change, and results oriented.Takes ownership for projects from beginning to end, determining appropriate tasks.Ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.Possess exceptional judgement and professionalism.Ability to define goals and follow through to achieve results.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.Possess reliability, dependability and motivation.Excellent organization and communications skills, both oral and written.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.Exceptional client service both internal and externalAbility to work additional hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed.The anticipated base salary for this position is $133,500 to $175,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
