Serve as the Department's contact for contractors' content specialists involved in the development or provision of test items. Work with contractor to organize and conduct content, bias, and sensitivity reviews. Assist in the development of test forms to ensure compliance with test blueprints (specifications) and conduct quality-control reviews for test items and forms. Develop or assist in the development of publications, presentations, test blueprints, sample items, data review analysis reports, and Web releases related to the various assessments for which the office is responsible. Collaborate within the Office of Assessment and Standards to provide content expertise on projects. Such other duties/responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor. This position is located in the Office of Assessment and Standards. Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and experience in education, management or business. Preferred Qualifications A master's degree in English or related field and five (5) years experience in teaching or a bachelor's degree in English and ten (10) years experience in teaching. Content knowledge in middle or high school ELA is required for the position; experience with instruction in English 1 or 2 at the middle or high school levels is highly desired.
