Position Description:
As an Education Program Coordinator III in Academic Affairs you will work independently to coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities of two Early Clinical courses for the School of Medicine, under the direction of several faculty course directors. Work collaboratively with the Program Director to coordinate the administrative activities of the overall Early Clinical program. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the Early Clinical program's goals.
Early Clinical Lead
- Lead or oversee the work of the Early Clinical Education Program Coordinators II.
- Serve as the Early Clinical primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, outside institutions and national organizations.
- Develop and maintain database(s) to track, schedule and record activities related to the institution, program and/or learners.
- Serve as an expert regarding information, support and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff and learners.
- Partner with Curriculum Leads, Program Director and Program Managers within the Office of Curriculum to develop best practices and quality improvement measures.
- Collaborate with other divisions (e.g., OEI, Registrar, Student Affairs) across the organization to facilitate learning and continuous improvement initiatives for all Early Clinical coordinators.
- Execute institutional or program activities with a high degree of independence (e.g., educational events, training, learner recruitment/interviews, orientation, and schedules).
- Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board and/or institutional requirements. Manage activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance with a high degree of independence.
- Guide the Program Manager and/or other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards and/or affiliated institutions.
- Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors, and speakers for Early Clinical Courses.
- Design and create brochures, flyers, handbooks, and other educational materials.
- Monitor programmatic budgets.
Course Coordination
- Coordinate and collaborate on the development of course materials including educational materials, course schedules, forms, and reports.
- Build and maintain online course(s) in Learning Management System.
- Maintain course timeline including tracking deadlines for course components.
- Organize virtual and in person course sessions, assessment opportunities, and course related special events.
- Coordinate and manage course outreach activities including acting as a liaison with community organizations and affiliate partners.
- Conduct or coordinate training for course participants (i.e., Medical Education Students).
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate course data.
- Report course data and progress to stakeholders.
- Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the course.
- Coordinate recruitment and training of course faculty facilitators.
- Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities with a high degree of independence.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with Clerkship and Block Directors to achieve clerkship and institutional goals.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Required Experience: 5 years of related experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Education
Preferred Experience: Program Coordination, Teaching or Educational Management, Instructional Design
