- Master's degree.
- Four (4) years of experience teaching in a related specialty, some of which may have been in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to assignment.
- Knowledge of FCPS curriculum, instructional goals, procedures, and practices in field of specialization.
- Knowledge of growth and development and learning theory in specialty.
- Knowledge of program evaluation, methodology, and statistical techniques.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation, and policies.
- Skill in assessment and evaluation of students with special needs.
- Skill in teaching and providing professional development.
- Strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to provide a high level of instructional leadership for teachers, administrators and tutors.
- Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to provide subject matter expert advice on complex issues to culturally diverse audiences.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local policies and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain successful collaborative working relationships throughout the Division and with outside agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Experience with high impact tutoring programs.
