Job Description:
EE Component EngineerScope: •Monitor & track EE BOMs for part consolidation & preparation for part obsolescence. •Proactively/diligently provide detailed proposals for alternate components. •Review Bill of Materials (BoM) to ensure compliance with application requirements - AEC-Q, Electrical/Mechanical attributes, etc. •Manage the supply chain lifecycle for electronic components - EOL/LTB, PCNs, etc. •Support both NPI and production programs: Support design engineering in the selection of electronic components for their applications •Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, & Design Teams to: ? Ensure PLM systems properly reflect primary and alternate components ? Enable best processes and practices are in place, leveraging automation where possible ? Review PCNs and be a point of contact for engineers and suppliers ? Assist in manufacturing and field failure analysis at the component level Required: •3 years of previous component or manufacturing engineering experience of multinational engineering teams •Proficient in reading electronic datasheets, errata, specifications, and part change notifications •Experience working with PLM systems and automation •Fundamental understanding of electronic design and manufacturing workflows •Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and/or relevant work experiences •Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing Pluses: •5+ years of experience as a component or manufacturing engineer on high volume products. •Familiarity with automotive compliance - AEC-Q, PPAP, etc. •Familiarity with Cadence and Altium ECAD tools and development flows. •Familiarity with Enovia PLM. •Experience as an EE board designer. Estimated Min Rate: $40.00 Estimated Max Rate: $50.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
