Infiltrator Water Technologies (IWT) is a market leader within the onsite wastewater treatment industry, Infiltrator manufactures a variety of revolutionary products and innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional stone and pipe leachfield and concrete septic wastewater system components. The majority of our products are produced almost entirely from recycled resins. Infiltrators recycling operation is among the countrys top twenty producers / consumers of recycled resins and among only a few of whom consume 100% of that resin in the finished products produced. Infiltrator operates some of largest molding machines and robotics producing the largest plastic molded parts in the world. IWT has always and continues to compete on innovation; we hold over 200 patents.
Responsibilities:
BRAND NEW POSITION - seeking an experienced EH&S professional reporting to our EH&S manager. This position assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Coordinator works closely with the EHS Manager to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace, conduct inspections, train employees, and respond to safety incidents.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead health and safety processes, including behavior-based safety, risk assessments and mitigation, and ergonomics.
- Maintain, improve, and propose site-specific safety programs.
- Measure, evaluate, and recommend changes in the effectiveness of hazard management systems, policies, and procedures to reduce risk to as low as reasonably possible.
- Assist in site health and safety investigations to ensure proper corrective and preventative measures have been implemented.
- Develop, track, and perform training.
- Conduct and oversee site environmental (SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II) inspections, testing, reporting, and other environmental permitting requirements.
- Collect data from various sources; organize, plan, and present recommendations to management staff and operations personnel.
- Conduct new-hire EHS orientation where requested.
- Oversee EHS improvement projects throughout the business.
- Manage safety data systems and safety analytics to determine trends and recordkeeping
- Collaborate with other departments on corrective actions and reported violations.
- Provide ongoing support for regulatory inquiries.
- Conduct required safety audits and additional safety-related functions, such as the coordination of the onsite emergency response team and Safety Committees
- Provide EHS support to all satellite locations under Infiltrator Water Technologies purview.
QUALIFICATIONS (must have):
- A minimum of three (3) years of professional EHS working experience in an industrial environment.
- Bachelors degree in occupational safety and health or related discipline
- Ability to up to 35% Domestic Travel
- Ability to create and execute safety training programs.
- Proactive with an ability to facilitate change through training and established working relationships with employees.
- Naturally self-motivated, confident individual who can work independently, with limited direction, and cooperatively in a team environment while consistently demonstrating collaborative, respectful, and productive work habits.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
QUALIFICATIONS (beneficial):
- Proven work experience leading teams to execute improvement projects.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, project management, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Presentation skills to enable effective training and communication at each site's level.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in navigating OSHA, EPA, and other key regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
