Job DetailsJob Details:Our company, a global leader in the food industry, is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive EH&S Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting a safe and healthy workplace. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing and implementing safety, health, and environmental programs that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The EH&S Coordinator will be the go-to person for all employees to ensure that our safety culture is not only adhered to but also continuously improved.Responsibilities:1. Develop, implement, and manage Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHS) programs in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.2. Conduct monthly safety meetings to educate employees about safety regulations and policies. Promote a safety culture throughout the organization.3. Manage air permits, SWPPP, SPCC, and other environmental programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.4. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. Implement corrective actions as necessary.5. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.6. Provide training and support to staff on safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.7. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation related to EH&S activities, including incident reports, safety training records, and compliance documents.8. Stay current with all applicable regulations and standards related to safety, health, and environmental systems. Provide updates to management and staff as necessary.9. Collaborate with management and employees to create and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EH&S role within the Manufacturing industry.3. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.4. Experience in conducting safety training sessions and safety meetings.5. Proficiency in managing air permits, SWPPP, SPCC, and other environmental programs.6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.8. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is preferred but not required.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to team goals and a strong focus on safety culture.10.
