This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day Environmental, Health and Safety Programs / Operational Excellence program and will manage the company's safety plan. Role and responsibilities:- Follow procedures to monitor health and safety at facility, such as ergonomics, air quality, and waste disposal- Chair the safety committee and works with the committee to identify and correct safety issues - Perform safety audits, inspections, and accident/incident investigations- Work closely with plant personnel and outside contractors -- observe their behavior and correct, if necessary- Create, administer, and conduct safety-training programs- Coordinate the activities of the safety program to promote employee participation- Review safety statistics, accident reports, and safety audits with employees and management to get suggestions and recommendations for improvements to the plant safety program- Manage Workers' Compensation Claims, outside insurance carriers and primary care medical providers to ensure that all industrial accident cases are resolved in a timely manner- Coordinate the environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and complete the required or mandated forms- Ensure compliance with EHS company, local, state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations- Lead the site's emergency response/HAZMAT team- Responsible for EHS record keeping and filing regulatory compliance reportsBase, up to 10% annually in performance bonus incentives, relocation on a case by case basis.
