Responsible for the assessment and provision of nursing care to include:
- Makes observations about residents, gathers appropriate data, and applies nursing interventions or treatment promptly as required for injuries and illnesses.
- Review and coordinate the preventative health care needs of assigned residents.
- Provides medical treatments as ordered by physician and documents appropriately.
- Ensures appropriate communications to physicians, family members, guardians, and other healthcare facilities regarding appointments, health status, and any changes.
- Contacts the pharmacy within 24 hours with new or discontinued medication.
- Arranges resident appointments (consults, clinic visits, dental diagnostic testing) and arranges for completion of lab studies in compliance with clinical guidelines.
- Accompanies the resident to specialist physician appointments as required.
- Participates in ISPs for assigned residents as required.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required.
- Administers medications accurately following physician's orders and documents on the medication record.
- Assist with admission as required.
PAY RATE BASED UPON YEARS OF LICENSURERequirementsREQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program or an approved Registered Nurse Program and certified to pass medications.
- Possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
