Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe EHR Support Analyst (ESA) possesses a deep understanding of Epic and Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) operations. This role supports MCHC in various areas, serving as a knowledgeable liaison between MCHC and OCHIN. The ESA facilitates ongoing, Epic-related education and coaching via bootcamps, webinars, workshops, and one-on-one trainings. The ESA also aligns Epic system functionality with a MCHC's operational needs and success metrics to strengthen productivity.The perfect candidate for this role should have a strong customer service orientation, displaying enthusiasm for connecting resources in support of health center goals. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at finding solutions to complex issues. Superb communication skills, training expertise, troubleshooting, and meeting facilitation capabilities are required.Primary Duties Include:
- Provide direct support to clinical staff and patient care teams to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and optimal use of the Epic application.
- Provide daily support to Epic application users through troubleshooting, coaching, and training.
- Identify, assess, and troubleshoot application and equipment issues as they occur, monitoring the problem and seeing it through to full resolution. Working with the OCHIN Help Desk for issues that require additional assistance, including technical and workflow information necessary to resolve the issue. Communicate resolution to the user when completed.
- Maintain system setup specific to MCHC such as preference lists, Smart Phrases, and Provider Master Files for the service area.
- Manage error queues and In Basket pools established in EPIC for MCHC.
- Collaborate with OCHIN and advisory workgroups to optimize use of the system through implementation of new Epic PM and EMR features and upgrades.
- Collaborate with OCHIN to test new features and upgrades prior to implementation.
- Coordinate and provide all necessary training to new clinic staff and providers, coordinate issuance of ID and password, and provide go-live support according to established processes.
- Provide competency/efficiency training for existing EPIC users.
- Attend monthly OCHIN ESA meetings with peers for best practices, information sharing to and from OCHIN PM/EMR/IT resources, continuous training, and sharpening of support skills.
- Attend other OCHIN workgroups as appropriate.
- Travels off site and to other MCHC sites as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree, with a minimum of one (2) years of working experience with an Electronic Health Record.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year college degree and four years of experience in a commensurate position in a professional environment or equivalent experience and /or education
- Outpatient clinical experience e.g. Medical Assistant or LVN
- Technical proficiency, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams) and webinar applications
- Experience with EHR software, specifically Epic preferred
- Training experience in a clinical environment
Salary Description $32.00 to $43.20 an hour, DOE
