Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com The EHS Engineer will be involved with all aspects associated with wastewater and health & safety systems. Focus will be on improving processes engineering and controls, and to independently manage manufacturing projects with environmental health and safety components to them. The EHS engineer will work closely with the waste treatment and safety supervisors and the EHS and Facility managers to ensure TTM excels in compliance with all applicable requirements and remains on the forefront of EHS excellence. This position requires a hands-on approach to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. This position is a developmental position and will require a broad exposure to many areas within the EHS discipline - an increasing role and increased responsibility will be the expectation of the position. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate projects including new start-up, upgrading existing processes and looking for more cost effective and efficient ways to run all water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Design and oversee construction of all EHS improvement projects throughout the business unit including overseeing contractors that are on site for environmental purposes.
- Develop and analyze data to create predictive models for use in waste treatment & industrial hygiene processes
- Work with production to be proactive with any design/process changes that will have an environmental or employee health impact.
- Assist in conducting Industrial Hygiene monitoring and data analysis
- Assist in conducting environmental and safety site evaluations in conjunction with the EHS department and 3rd party environmental consultants to develop efficient site compliance strategies
- Manage compliance data, reporting and permit application processes
- Maintain knowledge of current and prospective compliance regulations and changes
- Interface with State & Local authorities to assure compliance applications and documents meet expectations
- Responsibilities include the reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns. Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all Safety Procedures and alerts.
- Facilitates and attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, suggests and composes procedural changes, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors' safety hazards and issues.

- Assist in daily operations during times of emergency, special circumstances and/or short staff periods.

- While this is primarily a first shift position, incumbent must be flexible to work alternate shifts or weekends as necessary.
- Has good reading vision, and is able to sit for up to 10 hours per day.
- Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Education and Experience: - Four Year Degree a related field required; Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science a plus.
- Internship, academic or work experience in Water Resources strongly preferred.
