Manpower is assisting a great company near Portville, NY is hiring an EHS Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity. The right person for this role should have great communication and collaboration skills and bring a positive attitude. Having a background in construction and current OSHA certifications are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Include:
+ Design, develop, and enforce EHS programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Regularly update EHS policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
+ Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards within the steel fabrication environment.
+ Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
+ Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
+ Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
+ Prepare and maintain required EHS documentation and records.
+ Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety training, and emergency response.
+ Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among all employees.
+ Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
+ Maintain records of incidents and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Collaborate with Maintenance Personnel on waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation programs.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
+ Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
+ Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
+ Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
+ Work closely with all departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions and processes.
