We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to develop safety and health programs, policies and strategies for this new operation.

As the primary Safety & Health role at our new facility, this role will own the local S&H team with a bias towards team and individual development. Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations and implementing environmental policies and procedures to align with corporate directions and initiatives.

This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus.

Highlights of your role:
  • Develop, and lead site-specific Safety & Health programs and ensure adherence to enterprise policies, programs, and procedures
  • Develop and implement a strategic annual goal setting plan for eliminating injuries and accidents through proactive risk identification and mitigation
  • Support enterprise sustainability goals and initiatives, promoting environmental programs at the local level
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • Strong understanding of government and professional organizations such as OSHA, Voluntary Protection program, NIOSH, NRC, ASSP NFPA, and the National Safety Council
  • Experience and/or proven understanding of EPA, State, Local, OSHA, and DOT regulations, programs, and policies
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with employees, leadership, and regulatory personnel
Also want to make sure you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and experience may be considered in place of degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in safety related role(s) with increasing levels of responsibility
    • Environmental experience a plus
  • Experience in Safety and Health leadership roles in a manufacturing environment
  • OSHA Voluntary Protection Program experience preferred
  • Currently hold or willingness to obtain additional education, safety certifications, and designations required. Designations include but not limited to:
    • BCSP ASP and/or CSP
    • NSC Advanced Safety Certificate
    • OSHA 30 Hour
    • Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician Certification (OHST)
    • Train the trainer designations related to Safety and Health
    • Any related college degree
