The EHS Manager focuses on the implementation of practices, policies, and procedures aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the protection of the environment. EHS is critical in fostering a sustainable working environment, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Most importantly the EHS Manager promotes a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Strategic tasks:
* Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and accompanying reporting
* Promote sustainability initiatives across the organization.
* Partner with HR to understand health risk of the organization and develop programs to improve the long-term health and well-being of our employees.
Operative tasks:
* Coordinate activities of service EHS Manager
* Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
* Monitor and report on EHS performance.
* Provide training and support to staff on EHS matters.
Responsibility:
* Ensure workplace safety and compliance.
* Manage employee training programs
* Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
* Emergency Action Planning
* Ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements
* Coordinate Safety Programs with 3rd Party consultants
* Co-ordinate Programs, Policy and Compliance with Service EHS
* Developing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure employee safety
* Manage environmental impact and sustainability projects to meet sustainability goals.
* Ensure environmental and sustainability compliance.
* Manage EHS budget and resources.
* Optimize costs related to EHS initiatives.
* Report EHS related cost
* Approve EHS policies and procedures.
* Conduct EHS audits and inspections.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Your profile:
* Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Education or studies:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or relevant work experience
* Certification in EHS management preferred
* OSHA 30 hour training
* Working Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry standards
* Working Knowledge of OSHA 1929 Construction standards
* Working Knowledge of OSHA 1904 Record Keeping Requirements
Experience and skills:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management.
* Proven track record in implementing / maintaining EHS programs.
* Proficiency in EHS software, tools and databases (ISNET etc.)
Competencies:
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
