Job Description:
Responsible for project work and assisting the implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety policies and programs that support business practices within the Hendrickson Specialty Products Group.Essential Functions:•Provide environmental, health and safety direction and assistance to assure the safety and health of Reyco Granning associates through Vision Zero•Responsible for leading the effort to pursue/maintain partnership with OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) or Hendrickson's Global Safety Excellence Certification (GSX) Program.•Support efforts to achieve/maintain certification to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems•Administration of division and site EHS procedures•Facilitate incident investigation process•Coordinate industrial hygiene issues•Conduct EHS training •Manage safety audits and follow-up of said audits•Assess the impact of current and new processes on employees, assuring employee involvement in safety improvement activities•Assist in workers compensation case management as required•Participate on the Safety Excellence Team•Maintain key performance indicators as set by the Health and Safety Excellence Team.•Prepares safety communications for education and awareness•Maintain regular attendanceEducation and Training•Bachelor's Degree required in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Industrial Engineering •1-3 years' experience with an emphasis on health and safety implementation in a manufacturing environment. Some environmental compliance experience is desired.•Demonstrated experience in upgrading health and safety programs and process improvement •Strong interpersonal and communication skills•Strong presentation skills•Strong organizational skills•Ability to travel to company locations on an as-needed basis•Strong computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel)•Ability to work in team environment•Self-motivatedMinimum Qualifications•Excellent communications skills •Attention to detail and results oriented Physical Demands•Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.•Frequent need to move about inside office or plant designated area. •Minimally need to position self in low or tight spaces. •Occasional movement of hands, wrists, or fingers such as typing, filing, and writing.Environmental Conditions•Frequent exposure to office designated area.•Frequent exposure to loud noises. •Seasonal exposure to hot and cold working areas.Behavioral Traits •Innovative, Cooperation, and Empathy•Attention to Detail •Safety Focus •Influencing Others•Self-Management•Teamwork*This is not a comprehensive list of duties.
