Job DescriptionEHS SupervisorLocation: Swedesboro, NJShift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Pay rate $70K-$80K Benefits: Medical, Dental, VisionAs our EHSS Supervisor, you'll design and implement impactful health, safety, and environmental programs, championing a proactive, zero-accident culture. You will collaborate closely with HR and management to support safe return-to-work practices, ensure OSHA compliance, and empower employee-led safety initiatives across our organization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Safety Culture: Promote a zero-accident mentality and ensure safety is ingrained in all aspects of the workplace.
  • Return-to-Work Program: Co-manage with HR and managers the return-to-work program and workers' compensation claims for work-related injuries (temporary and full-time employees).
  • Safety Program Management: Integrate and oversee written safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Employee-led Safety Initiatives: Build strong relationships with employees to facilitate behavior-based safety processes in a team environment.
  • Safety Audits & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular safety audits, identify hazards, and recommend solutions to minimize or eliminate risks.
  • Accident Investigations: Lead investigations for accidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and completed.
  • Safety Performance Tracking: Track, analyze, and report safety performance results.
  • Feedback Follow-Through: Work with department managers and employees to address safety-related suggestions and feedback.
  • Emergency Drills & Training: Coordinate and conduct emergency drills, safety training, and exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Lead the completion of all safety and environmental calendar items and ensure compliance with bakery safety training programs.
  • Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety or related field
  • 3-5 years of comprehensive safety experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the food industry).
  • Flexible to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Proficient in using computers (over 25% of the workday) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
