Job Description:
Overview:
  • The role is responsible for leading core EHS programs whilst developing and driving ICF process safety management
  • The position will assist in leading the Environmental Health & Safety agenda to meet internal and external benchmarks of excellence with the aim of providing both understanding and capability at all levels within all functions
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive MESS agenda legacy and new equipment to meet ICF legislation and PepsiCo compliance goals
  • Lead and drive ICF wide design reviews incorporating MESS, ergonomics, PepsiCo centerline and MOC to ensure compliance
  • Develop and drive ICF process safety management, hazardous energy compliance, electrical safety programs, explosion prevention and fire protection and prevention
  • Build capability of ICF EHS/engineering teams for process safety management
  • Oversight of investigations into L1 and 2 incidents, HiPo, LTI, MTBFA and RIR
  • Analyze and implement critical risk strategies ensuring compliance with ICF and global GEHSMS requirements
  • Manage the BU reporting requirements to Region and Sector through liaison with all sites whilst leading the Systems & Compliance Governance for ICF with an emphasis on EHS alignment and GEHSMS coordination
  • Provide analysis and recommendations relating to EHS matters
  • Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • Accredited machinery/equipment safety qualifications. (Engineering, machinery/electrical)
    • Diploma level Environment and Health and Safety
    • 10 years Solid experience in positions that have included successful interactions with a manufacturing functions

    Skills:

    • MESS /equivalent equipment safety conversant
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Solid communication skills (including report writing and oral presentation)
    • Good interpersonal and relationship skills
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to influence activities outside realm of direct responsibility, to influence the agenda in a different department
    • A demonstrated ability to implement change through support or and commitment to business improvement
    • Ability to deal with external stakeholders effectively, including regulatory authorities
