Day Shift PositionShift Time: 7:30am - 4:30pmMonday - FridayPosition SummaryThe primary role of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician is to monitor and evaluate EHS conditions and maintain the EHS programs and procedures at a site level. This position will work in partnership with the EHS Team and other support teams to promote and deliver EHS expertise to the site to reduce incidents, ensure compliance, and promote an EHS culture. This is done through leadership, guidance, and hands-on support. We are modest, genuine, and authentic.Key Responsibilities1. Partner with multiple teams ranging from production to support functions to provide EHS support for day-to-day operations.2. Implement EHS programs and procedures as assigned to reduce incidents and/or ensure regulatory compliance.3. Assist in maintaining customer EHS compliance portals.4. Participate in risk assessments and making recommendations to reduce risk.5. Lead site-specific EHS improvement projects.6. Lead, develop, or coordinate EHS training. This includes EHS trainings as part of new hire orientation.7. Conduct routine workplace EHS inspections to identify workplace hazards.8. Conduct incident investigations to identify root cause and communicate key learnings from EHS incidents.9. Manage records and distribute documents.10. EHS related data collection, analysis, and trending.11. Generate various EHS reports as required by regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, Worker's Compensation, etc.).12. Complete required training/certifications to be a site first responder.13. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.14. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.15. Degree in an EHS related technical, manufacturing, or engineering field is preferred.•Experience working in a manufacturing environment.•Working knowledge of applicable EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, Worker's Compensation, etc.)•Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.•Self-driven, flexible/adaptable, and able to effectively manage time, priorities, and resources.•Must be willing to complete required training plan (OSHA 30-hr, First Aid/CPR/AED, etc.)•Ability to maintain absolute integrity and discretion due to confidential and sensitive nature of information.•Intermediate skills required for MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint-OR-•An acceptable combination of education and experienceFunctional & Cognitive Requirements of Position•This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.•Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds.•Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.•Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.•Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.•Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.•This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
