What You'll Be Doing as an EIC Manager

As the EIC Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering team throughout the entire project lifecycle. You'll manage a group of engineers and designers, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This leadership position is key to advancing our client's reputation for providing exceptional engineering services across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of EIC engineers and designers, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure seamless execution and on-time delivery.
  • Technical Oversight: Review and approve EIC designs, specifications, and calculations, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and codes.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner with mechanical, civil, and other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient integration across project teams.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in procuring EIC materials and equipment, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.
  • Construction & Commissioning: Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases to guarantee project success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance engineering processes, improve quality, and maintain high safety standards across the engineering team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) engineering, specifically within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) industry.
  • Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to approve and stamp engineering drawings.
  • Leadership Expertise: Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams, with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, ISA, IEC) and proficiency with EIC design software and tools.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and solving complex engineering challenges.
  • Travel and Onsite Work: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and work onsite 80-90% of the time.
