POSITION
We are seeking an experienced educational leader to fill the role of ELD Coordinator. The ELD Coordinator will be responsible for disseminating curriculum options and instructional strategies, and provides professional development/coaching through active collaboration with the Directors of Data and Instruction to enhance the EL development services for the schools, and serves as a significant resource to the ELD instructional staff. The ELD Coordinator will report to the Director of Student Services and will work closely with school leaders and teachers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and student success.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a Newcomers program to meet the whole child.
* Provide targeted coaching to teachers, including modeling lessons, to support English Learners in the classroom.
* Provide coaching and support to Paraprofessionals working with English learners.
* Provide professional development on designated and integrated ELD instruction.
* Support TK-12 English Language Development and oversee the ELD Program at each school site.
* Develop programs to address the needs of Long Term English Learners (LTELs).
* Manage and oversee the administration of ELPAC.
* Disaggregate ELPAC/other EL data and lead data dives for site leaders.
* Investigate and oversee ELD curriculum development.
* Oversee RFEP process and progress monitoring for reclassified students.
* Update the ELD Master Plan as needed and/or on an annual basis.
* Complete program oversight and compliance paperwork for Title III and other ELD grant funds, as received.
* Develop a summer school program for EL students.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Knowledge of public education and charter school movement, preferred.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
* Teaching credential and CLAD, BCLAD, SDAIE certification is desirable.
* Three years of successful teaching/pupil services experience, including one year of ELD instruction.
* Bilingual/Bi-literate English/Spanish desirable.
* Knowledge of state standards, assessment requirements, and educational policies.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, including strategic planning, team building, and project management.
* Previous experience in charter schools, preferred.
Physical Requirements
* Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
* Motor coordination and finger dexterity for keyboarding and other tasks.
* Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds.
* Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the organization.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
This is a full-time, exempt, 100% in-person position.
