SUMMARY
The Election Warehouse Manager leads the logistical operations that make in-person Elections possible. The incumbent will have an in-depth working knowledge of Montgomery County's voting system, collaborate with relevant team members to build efficiencies, solve problems, and continuously improve the behind the scenes aspects of Election Administration. The Election Warehouse Manager supervises the voting machine technicians & warehouse assistants; ensuring strict adherence to all relevant local, state & federal rules/regulations that pertain to election system management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strict adherence to policies regarding documentation, record retention, logic & accuracy testing;
- Coordinates with Voting System's Administrator to perform Logic and Accuracy Testing;
- Hardware repair and maintenance of all voting system components;
- Coordination of RMAs as necessary;
- Providing training to colleagues on products and procedures;
- Participate in ongoing instructional classes and voting machine demonstrations;
- Supervises and directs creation of Polling Place supply boxes, ordering additional supplies as needed and keeping detailed inventory;
- Supervises and directs temporary staff during the election cycle;
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and identifies needed repairs;
- Tests all incoming and outgoing equipment to ensure equipment is maintained adequately and in proper working order;
- Documents policies and procedures relating to repairs and maintenance of equipment;
- Directs shipping and receiving and/or assists with the delivery process, checking in of materials, matching purchase orders to sales orders;
- Performs thorough quality assurance on essential materials and their distribution;
- Responsible for maintaining safe movement and egress within warehouse by organizing pallets and mobile storage;
- Adheres to Warehouse Security Protocols;
- Handles service calls, particularly on Election Day;
- Collaborates with Election Personnel Manager to create training materials for Poll; Workers, provides post-election feedback on training efficacy;
- Assist with all post-election audits as required;
- Assist with any recount proceedings as needed;
- Coordinate with appropriate vendors and internal personnel regarding; deployment of equipment to polling locations;
- Coordinate with Election Personnel Manager regarding supplies for deployment to polling locations (how-to guides, forms etc.);
- Lead Election Night material return operations for both the Primary & General Elections;
- Additional election activities as needed and assigned. This position will be cross-trained on various roles within the Voter Services department;
- All other tasks as assigned.

- HS diploma required, BS preferred or equivalent experience;
