What You Will Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose root causes for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems maintenance including examination of parts for defects.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's instructions for operation and troubleshooting equipment,
- Be responsible for the preventive maintenance/troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues on machinery used in the facility by using the CMMS software to track PMs and work orders
- Engages in mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance of electronic power generating equipment and transmission distribution and control equipment of electric-power utility
- Resolve problems using working knowledge and solutions that improve operations, and develops recommendations involving new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
- Recording repairs and maintenance performed, parts and materials used, requisition new parts and materials as well assist in inventory of replacement parts and supplies for inventory levels
- Using various common hand and power tools, such as drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices
Skills You Bring:
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Minimum High school education required
- Minimum 3 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a plant setting preferred
- Minimum 3 years of electrical schematics and blueprints
- Working knowledge of three phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces, PLC's, VFD
- Familiar with NEC, NFPA 70E and OSHA standards
- Full knowledge of three phase 480 volt,/270V/110v/24v
- Knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing systems
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Plan, assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical fixtures and wiring
- Able to use tools including hand tools, powered tools, diagnostic tools and computer programs
- Test and repair water distribution, and compressed air systems
- Able to operate a forklift truck
- Basic computer and e-mail skills
