Job Description:
We are looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Mechanic to support our Advanced Material & Chemicals division in Rochester, NY.As an Electrical and Instrumentation Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following job functions:Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install and make improvements on film manufacturing equipment, complex processing equipment, chemical processing equipment, and building general systems (includes instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, controls (PLC's & distributed control systems (DCS), and a wide range of electrical components).Calibrate process control instruments to tight tolerances using sophisticated calibration equipment.Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including performing root cause analysis.Maintain motors, breakers, starters, variable speed drives, process control devices, heat tracing, and lighting.Calibrate, align, and make adjustments with test and measurement equipment.Install conduit, wiring, switches, relays, lighting, and circuit breakers using power tools and hand tools.Install upgrades to enhance or replace outdated control systems.Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Perform data entry and report writing including ISO documentation.Utilize Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.Adapt to changing priorities.Requirements:Dependable with good attendance.Maintain a clean work area and operate safely at all times.Detail-oriented team player.Strong electrical and/or instrumentation training and demonstrated skills/experience.Proficient in math functions.Effective analytical troubleshooting skills.Able to read electrical, instrument, and machine drawings.Able to read/modify PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment problems.Understanding of new electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids).Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.Excellent safety record - prioritizes safety and environment in all work.Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.Effective communication skills for daily interactions with leaders, maintenance planner, technical staff, engineering, and operations.Willingness to be flexible and work with other trades as needed.Significant walking or other mobility required.Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).Able to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.Able to work off of ladders or scaffolding, in some awkward positions.Indoor and outdoor work assignments.Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.Wear protective clothing and/or personal protective equipment as required by the work environment or governmental regulations.Qualifications:HS diploma, and a 2-year degree or some level of instrumentation, electrical, or demonstrated trade experience.Willingness to work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business needs dictate.EOE Policy Statement:All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.#J-18808-Ljbffr
