Our client in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a qualified individual to join their maintenance team as an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician. E&I Technicians are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices and the necessary experience to troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment. Successful candidates are expected to possess and refine multiple skills in both Mechanical and Electrical areas. This is a Monday - Friday (day shift) position.Daily responsibilities: - Ensure proper operation of all electrical/control system components including electronic components, motors, solenoids, limit switches, programmable logic control (PLC) I/O modules and photo-eye sensors- Troubleshoot, problem solve, and resolve issues throughout the facility - Perform high level electrical audits and adjustments per original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications- Work as a team with Supervisors, Maintenance team members, and Operations to plan, procure and document activities for the enhancement of electrical and instrumentation maintenance within the facility - Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure quality and production goals are met - Apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, and OEM standards - Work with the maintenance and operations teams to improve productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools, and equipment access - Review, develop, and/or modify work orders for all plant equipment - Contact vendors and manufacturers as needed for support in resolving issues - Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of new PLC system- Assist the maintenance team as needed to maintain and repair equipment- Create and edit Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, as necessary- Install new conduit, wiring, and electrical devices
