(GreenPower) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of purpose-built, all-electric, zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles serving the cargo and delivery market, shuttle and transit space and school bus sector.Brief DescriptionAn Electrical Assembler performs parts and material assembly and installation tasks per work instructions and verbal instruction.ResponsibilitiesInstallation of drive train, mechanical and chassis assemblies, parts and components per work instructions. Must be familiar with truck air systems including airline routing, air bags, brake valves, leveling valves, etc.Follow verbal and written task directives.Ensure proper operation of all drive train, mechanical and chassis assemblies, parts and components.Troubleshoot and assist with corrective measures as needed due to engineering or design issues.Continually self-inspect during work shift; analyze and offer suggestions for progressive improvement.Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.Operate and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations. Requirements High school diploma or GED.One year of experience with electronics or electrical work.Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills. Ability to understand written and verbal work instructions.Skilled in the operation of basic hand, air and battery-powered shop tools, voltmeters and equipment.Competency in the use of measuring devices to stay within required tolerances. Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.Ability to follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations. Ability to quickly learn processes, adapt to process changes and implement those changes.Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40-hour work week, working four, 10-hour shifts.
