The role of an Electrical Assembly Technician is assembly, electrical wiring, machine set up, check out, training. Compliance to company ERP system to assist with production and project work reporting, managing job tasks and helping the organization keep the customer database in pristine condition. This role is responsible for understanding the company electrical and technical needs to achieve company and customer needs. Responsibilities for this position also include establishing and maintaining industry and electrical knowledge, working with Project Managers and cross functional teams to solve an organization's technical challenges. Expert in industry, packaging machines and technical skill sets.Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build and wire electrical panels
- Maintain machine production schedule
- Comply with machine scope of work
- Accepts daily responsibilities on shop floor
- Troubleshoot safety circuits
- Markup schematics to reflect as built machine
- Provide direction to other employees to complete electrical assembly tasks
- Communication with the production and service teams
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of technical services team
- Work with technical team and share information across the organization
- Make appropriate recommendations based on project scope
- Install and wire vendor equipment
- Maintains accountability and serviceability of all electrical related tasks
- Conducts tests and inspects equipment
- Develops and maintains electrical processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Records and reports all faults and deficiencies related to wiring on machines or vendor equipment
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, UL
- Provide power to machines and vendor equipment
- Utilize manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Follow company's procedures and protocols
- Works with internal departments as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Travel as required
Desired Skillsets:
- 1 to 3 years of experience building electrical panels
- 1 to 3 years of experience wiring machinery
- Working knowledge of NFPA, NEC and UL
- Mechanical proficiency
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of food/washdown wiring best practices

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. with a ½ hour unpaid lunch (can be flexible). Work overtime when required. Travel as needed.
