The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Sr. Project Manager by providing overall management direction and ensures proper execution and timely completion of all assigned projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and staffs key field positions and projects
  • Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with prime clients and contacts in order to facilitate construction activities
  • Monitors/controls construction through administrative direction of on-site contacts to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures
  • Represents company in project meetings, assists in strategy meetings, etc.
  • Manages financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with Client
  • Responsible for ordering material and cost projections
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience, Skill, and Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Building Science or Construction Management preferred; or 5 years of previous experience in construction, design, or project management
    • Experience with construction software Procore is preferred but not required
    • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
    • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and thorough writing in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner
    • Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
    • Ability to comprehend, summarize, edit and analyze data
    • Ability to create, edit and analyze Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PDF files and Power Point presentations
    • Ability to create, navigate, search and update Rogers Electric's systems (work orders, reports, quotes, invoices etc., emails)
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
