Position Scope and Organizational ImpactThe Solar Electrical Assistant Superintendent will provide essential support and coordination for utility-scale solar projects. Working closely with Superintendents, contractors, and on-site teams, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, high-quality installation of electrical systems across multi-state solar sites. This position requires a positive, adaptable approach to working with all team members in a dynamic setting, aiming to contribute significantly to America's clean energy future.Key Responsibilities* Coordinate and support the high-quality installation of electrical components, including underground electrical collection systems.* Collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent and General Electrical Superintendent to develop and update project schedules and three-week look-aheads.* Ensure work teams have necessary resources and maintain consistent quality across self-performed and subcontracted work.* Manage quality control processes and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and contract updates.* Supervise and assist with the installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables.* Review procurement of electrical resources and coordinate with subcontractors and site activities.* Participate in project meetings and act as a liaison between field engineers and subcontractors.* Oversee the safety, quality, and efficiency of all electrical work performed on-site.* Coach, mentor, and provide direction to field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents.* Produce reports, including Method of Operation instructions and energization processes.* Identify staffing needs, support hiring processes, and make recommendations for training and career development of field personnel.* Maintain professional relationships with site visitors, including clients, architects, and subcontractors.* Ensure site logistics are optimized and provide continuous improvement suggestions.Education and Experience Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.* Minimum of 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment, including collection line installation.* Experience supporting large self-perform projects with expertise in medium voltage cable installation and maintenance.* Familiarity with electrical drawings, underground duct banks, SCADA systems, and the testing and commissioning processes.* Possess current driver's license and ability to travel 100% of the time, including rotations.* Knowledge of testing methods such as Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, and Doble testing is preferred.Job Location: Multi-State, High Travel RequiredStates included: AZ, NM, TX, MS, LA, AL, GA, FL, AKClassification: Full-Time, Exempt, Salaried Reports To: Solar Senior SuperintendentOther aspects to be considered which ewi feel to be important include:* Previous experience on Solar Projects 75MW - 500MW+* ASAP - ideally a maximum of 1 months notice.* Previous history of overseeing 50+ workers.* Scheduling and budgeting experience is a preference.* Long term position with internal growth.For more information please contact the Search Leader:Christopher Gebhart- Senior Consultant - Renewable Energy: email: ...@ewi-group.comewi is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer. ewi is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
