Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead and manage electrical projects from inception through completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical construction, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Manage project budgets, including monitoring costs, processing invoices, and managing change orders. Ensure all financial aspects of the project remain within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and field staff. Provide direction and support to ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Manage contracts and ensure all parties meet their contractual obligations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all electrical work is completed to the highest quality standards. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local codes.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety policies and procedures on all job sites. Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the course of the project.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, meeting minutes, RFIs, change orders, and other documentation as required.
  • Project Closeout: Oversee project closeout, including final inspections, punch list completion, and turnover of documentation such as as-built drawings, warranties, and operations manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry codes.
  • Proven experience managing commercial or industrial electrical projects from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and electrical estimating tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
