Electrical Controls Engineer-Raleigh, NCPosition OverviewWe are a top player in the food manufacturing industry seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and machine controls, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for automation projects.
  • Program PLCs and create HMI interfaces for various manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate robotics and machine controls into production lines.
  • Design and install electrical and electronic systems for automated equipment. (P&IDs, Main control panels, SCCR analysis, Safety systems, AC motor/drives, Pneumatic control, Temperature/Pressure transmitters, Flowmeters, etc.)
  • Conduct panel layouts and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and automation equipment.
  • Work with CAD tools to create and modify designs for control systems.
  • Implement machine vision systems for quality control and process improvement.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational staff on control systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in controls engineering and automation.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming.
  • Experience with robotics and 6-axis robot programming preferred.
  • Familiarity with HMI development and machine vision systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Eplan for control system design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
