Pace, a division of ProMach, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test and support the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, systems and components for packaging machinery, specifically focused on bottle unscrambling and orienting. The position will require minimal travel (historically less than 5% per year) to customer locations to oversee installation and commissioning of the machines, as well as provide in-house and on-site technical training for other employees and customers.   • Review customer scope documents to determine electrical component and wiring requirements.
  • Assist sales with estimating with design requirements and cost.
  • Create electrical schematic design, including creation of standards for schematics.
  • Create bills of material and panel layouts.
  • Determine and design network architecture.
  • Troubleshoot electrical wiring and functionality.
  • Create documentation and training materials.
  • Support production personnel around electrical panel assembly and wiring.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven electrical experience, preferably in the machinery manufacturing industry.
  • Solid mechanical, and electrical and interface skills.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD electrical design software.
  • Experience and working knowledge of machine electrical systems including hardware, fmotors, field devices and sensors.
  • Experience with motor control with VFD's.
  • Experience with ethernet, Modbus, and fieldbus communication.
  • Experience with safety PLC's and relays.
  • Experience with CE and UL electrical requirements.
  • Knowledge of sourcing components.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning machinery.

  • Troubleshooting PLC code and machine functionality.
