We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Electrical Engineer to join our team by year's end. Ideal candidates would have a passion for the built environment, an open mind, experience in REVIT, and an attention to detail for both the electrical design/engineering as well as other trades for coordination. This Engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing electrical systems for various building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Markets include K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Multifamily and Commercial Office. This position also offers a unique opportunity for career advancement to take on the role of Department Head. Key Responsibilities: · Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. · Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, junior electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to create integrated design solutions. · Prepare detailed electrical design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit. · Conduct electrical load calculations, lighting design, and power distribution planning. · Review and approve contractor submittals and shop drawings. · Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. · Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases. · Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices. · Contribute to the growth and direction of the electrical engineering department with the potential to step into a leadership role. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. · Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable. · 9+ years of experience in electrical design within the building industry. · Proficiency in Revit, and other design software is a plus. · Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA). · Excellent communication and teamwork skills. · Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
