A global, manufacturing leader at the forefront of technological innovation are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join their thriving South Wales facility.You'll take on responsibility of maintaining high voltage equipment and producing high-voltage & low-voltage switching plans. You'll be responsible for CHP (combined heat and power) maintenance, maintaining HV and LV main distribution (including protection, PFC and SPDs), and operating and commissioning building management systems.You'll be confident interacting with others at senior levels, producing weekly energy reports and regularly updating the CMMS (maintenance management system) – scheduling/recording maintenance activities.Skills we are most interested in for this position:Experience with BMS/SCADA systemsUnderstanding plant operation items (VFDs, motors, boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, vacuum systems)Experience reading/producing electrical and mechanical drawings (P&IDs and flow diagrams)A good understanding of Pneumatic systems and both electrical and control/instrumentation systemsAbility to fault find on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic control systemsFamiliarity with air conditioning systems and electrical regulations, plus experience within a facilities management or building services environment would be advantageousYou'll join a company that will invest in your career development and individual learning - Funded training and development at all levels (up to master's level), a performance based annual bonus, access to on-site gym, restaurant, and free parking and entertainment reductions.This full-time role requires 5 days a week visits to Newport location.
