Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Designer to work under the direction of a licensed professional engineer. This role involves contributing to the technical development of schematic designs, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration for institutional, retail, and commercial building projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a detail-oriented team player, and foster a positive work environment. A strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines is essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions

• Perform electrical engineering design tasks for institutional, retail, and commercial building projects.
• Assist in site surveys and prepare construction phase site observations.
• Attend project meetings.
• Provide support during construction administration, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and coordinating with the design team throughout the construction phase.
• Communicate and collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines during the design phases of building projects.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent knowledge in electrical engineering and design.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
