You will: - Work onsite at our Batavia, Illinois location.
- Lead the PCB layout group and support operations.
- Provide direction, plan, mentor, and lead a team of 3 to 4 members of the group while also designing multilayer boards.
- Supervise and mentor PCB layout designers in designing multilayer and split-plane PCBs using Altium Designer
- Supervise and mentor PCB layout designers in translating and updating existing designs from OrCAD into Altium
- Supervise and mentor PCB layout designers in providing information to assist with procurement, fabrication, assembly, installation, and other aspects of the completed design.
- Design and assist in procurement of PCBs.
- Maintain and update related files and databases; electronically stores archives of drawings.
- Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate the modification and repair of the record keeping system and to propose new, improved or upgraded systems.
- Select and apply appropriate IPC design standards.
- Abide by and be responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

We are looking for a candidate with: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field with minimum 5 years of experience or associate degree in electronic technology or related field with minimum 8 years of experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in leading PCB designers and drafters.
- Knowledge and experience in PCB layout and manufacturing.
- Good interpersonal skills for working with engineers and technicians.
- Experience with Altium Designer and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with IPC 2221, IPC 2222, and IPC 2152 a plus.
