CV Engineering is seeking an Electrical Designer with electrical system design The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.experience on industrial facility, for our Pittsburgh, PA office. Design experience on steel facilities is considered a significant plus.The successful candidate shall have the following specific responsibilities:• Utilize Revit software to prepare 3D and 2D layout and design drawings which meet company and industry standards and codes.• Knowledge of Electrical design practices including drawings, specifications, codes, building materials, and construction techniques.• Prepares CAD electrical design drawings such as: single line diagrams; power, lighting, grounding, and other systems plans; electrical area plans; electrical equipment arrangement plans; embedded and expose conduit layouts; cable tray layout plans and sections; conduit, cable and termination schedules.• Applies standard drafting/design principles to complete assignments. Ensure compliance with company and client policies and applicable standards and codes such as ANSI, NEMA, NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA etc.• Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor.• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.• Prepares typical electrical databases/spreadsheets such as: motor and electrical load lists; panel schedules; bills of materials.• Confers and coordinates with the Electrical Engineers regarding any information required for completion of the design.• Confers and coordinates with other disciplines to assure compliance with designrequirements.REQUIREMENTS:• Minimum 2-year technical degree from an accredited program. Electrical systems / basic electricity coursework included.• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a construction engineering design.• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products and other computer software used to complete design assignments• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required
