The Diagnostic Floor Technician I will disassemble, reassemble, troubleshoot, and maintain vehicle platforms on-site at Roush facilities
This person will communicate between employees, engineering, customers, and requesters.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair vehicle equipment and systems to component level failures
experienced during operation
Perform equipment updates to support testing of vehicle systems
Communicate diagnostic findings to engineering staff for resolution
Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) according to project expectations and
vehicle Technical Manuals (TMs) or work instructions
Receive direction from coordinators, customers, and supervisors
Attend daily meetings with team to brief on activities and program or project expectations
Perform pre-drive and post-drive vehicle inspections
Clean up and disposal including daily clean-up of assigned work areas and vehicles
Manage time entry including verifying accuracy
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing vehicle systems
Minimum of 2 years of diagnosing to component level and repairing newly integrated vehicle systems
Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools, repair and special tools, diagnostic equipment
Proficiency in working from Technical Manuals (TM s), wiring schematics, work instructions, work orders and
follow-up of historic troubleshooter findings and notes
Good computer skills, including MS Office
Ability to prepare written technical reports
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to interact professionally with others
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience using a Digital Multi Meter and CAN tools and other diagnostic tools required to diagnose vehicle
failures.
Preferred:
Certification in Automotive Engineering Technology or similar.
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Knowledge of Automotive Diagnostic Tools
