Local industrial company is looking for Electrical Engineer to join their team! In this role you will provide electrical engineering design support for power plant design, substations and equipment including component selection, design integration, fabrication, and operation.Requirements- Engineering support for shop and field service personnel as requested and prepare design solutions as needed.- Collaborate with Lead PE for shop project questions to streamline communications, keep shop projects moving forward, and build your knowledgebase.- Develop one-line, three-line, and schematic drawings.- Prepare electrical equipment specifications.- Create effective process documents and checklists.- Sizing/selecting components including breakers, fuses, cables, and wiring.- Collaborate with technical departments to create standard processes and checklists for common shop and field tasks and practices.- Sales team support for customer questions and meetings when needed.Job RequirementsQualifications: - Electrical Engineering Degree / BS or MS.- Familiarity with electrical power industrial standards, codes, ANSI, CSA, NFPA and NEC.- MS Office Suite software.- Fully understand, develop & produce one-line, three-line, and schematic drawings.- Willingness to learn, research and occasionally attend applicable classes, seminars, etc.- Experience with design of power distribution systems and cable / breaker / fuse / transformer sizing.- Experience with reading and understanding electrical and oil test reports.- Experience with low and/or medium voltage switchgear design.- Experience with performing Med or HV transformer testing/ performing LV, Med, or HV circuit breaker testing and performing relay testing or programming.- Experience with low and or medium voltage switchgear troubleshooting, assembly, modification, repair, or testing.- Use of basic electrical test equipment.- Good verbal and written communication skills - Comfortable interacting with teammates, customers, and subcontractors.- Proficient at building and improving our companys existing processes, information organization, and engineering library.
