Direct Hire

Rate Range: $80,000/hour to $90,000/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Hybrid or onsite - 2 days at home, 3 onsite

Work week: Monday thru Friday flexible from 7am-5pm

Under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer I is responsible for creating electrical designs and wiring diagrams for a variety of industrial data acquisition and control systems related to the testing of various jet engines. The Electrical Engineer will work under close supervision of Sr. Electrical Engineers to complete assigned tasks in compliance with the quality and standards of our Test Cells.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design engine wiring harnesses to connect and interface a variety of customer engines, support modules, and testing facilities.

• Assist in the development of engine control modules and signal lists.

• Create high-level and low-level detailed wiring diagrams for various industrial data acquisition, control systems, and cable assemblies using AutoCAD Electrical.

• Participate in design reviews internally as well as support project reviews externally with project management members and customers.

• Work under the supervision and guidance of Sr. Electrical Engineers to complete assigned tasks on schedule and budget.

• Work with Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineers in a cross-functional environment.

• Create electrical designs and drawings which comply with industry standards and Safran Test Cells' standards.

• Provide feedback to engineering management on work progress and status.

• Work closely with a team of other electrical engineers, designers, drafters, and management to help produce project deliverables.

• Assist in collecting and interpreting information from a variety of design inputs including previous designs, customer specifications, sketches, OEM and customer-specific documentation

• Work in accordance with Test Cells' Engineering Design Process and Quality Maintenance System.

• Acquire ongoing knowledge necessary to perform job assignments and to improve technology, products and processes through our company training opportunities.

• Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.

• 1 to 3 years of Electrical Engineering experience required.

• Internship experience in related industry is preferred.

• Experience in the design of electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent in one or more of the following areas required:

o Data acquisition and control systems

o Power distribution systems

o Wiring harnesses and junction boxes

o Building electrical ducting and services

Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.

• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.

• Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the firm.

• Demonstrated understanding of electrical communication methods and electrical design concepts, standards, and practices.

• Proficient with MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required.
