DescriptionEssential Job Functions:
- Engineer and design new products from initial planning to production.
- Provide and perform engineering assistance for field service problems.
- Perform inspections on vehicle components and assemblies.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings.
- Participate in engineering projects and engineering meetings.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of new material and engineering practices.
- Edit and construct technical data for operation, maintenance and parts manuals.
- Create and organize complete bill of material for purchasing department.
- Coordinate with Electrical Drafters to produce electrical schematics and wire diagrams.
- Write technical specifications for submission to customer.
- Travel up to 20% throughout US and Canada.
- Other functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Rail or transit industry experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Auto CAD, Auto CAD Electrical and Solid Modeling Software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
