About the role:We are actively seeking to add a dedicated, experienced electrical engineer to our team whose primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and compliance of MEP designs. In this role you will collaborate with the architecture and design teams, review and analyze design documents, perform quality control checks, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. Key responsibilities:
- Review and Assess Designs
- Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the designs
- Ensure effective coordination and integration between the designs and the architectural construction documents
- Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams
- Prepare detailed reports highlighting deficiencies, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in the reviewed designs.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other team members to foster interdisciplinary coordination and maintain effective communication channels
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal quality assurance processes, standards, and guidelines
- Support the firm's vision of building an engineering practice by actively participating in business development initiatives, fostering relationships with clients and consultants, and exploring potential expansion opportunities.
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A professional license (PE) in Engineering is required.
- 8+ years of experience working as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems designs, codes, and standards, preferably in the context of public school project
- Proven ability to identify and resolve coordination issues
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to contribute to the growth and development of your team
- Proficiency in producing designs in relevant MEP design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
