Electrical Engineer Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Electrical Engineer for a contract position in New Freedom, PA. The opportunity will be nine months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: Hardware design engineers design, test and sustain electronic Printed Circuit Board (PCBs) assemblies for chiller applications. They conduct design, simulation, prototype testing, and reliability testing and confirm that the product operates as expected with reference to specific documented hardware requirements. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain the main control board, which contains MPU/MCU, FPGA, and other circuits, for chiller application.
- Design of analog and digital interface circuits, development of power supply circuits, and/or selection of power supplies.
- Perform worst-case circuit analysis and incorporation of appropriate reliability principles to ensure reliable operation over the environmental specifications.
- Design and maintain PCBAs including both schematic and layout using design tools.
- Independently conduct and apply cost analysis to feasibility studies on proposed designs or modifications to existing designs.
- Support to product technical support team and PCBA manufacturing factories as needed to maintain existing and/or NPI products.
- Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- BSEE or BSCE, or related field; minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with various MPU/MCUs is desired.
- Familiarity with circuit design and layout tools such as Mentor Graphic is desired.
- Familiarity with signal integrity tools is desired.
- Experience with programmable logic is a plus.
- Good team player, strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
